- The general objective of the research work was to propose a business architecture design in the public institution BAAP N ° 12, which would allow to enhance the process of data collection, analysis and interpretation at the operational level in order to improve the prioritization and structuring of social development projects in the different municipalities of the Department of Caquetá. Three intermediate goals were used to achieve the objective. The first went hand in hand with the identification of the different frames of reference of business architecture. The second consisted of making a diagnosis of the current state of the process of collection, analyzing and interpreting data in the public institution BAAP N ° 12 thus seeking the identification of opportunities for improvement over the corresponding process. The third was correlated with the design of the business architecture strategy whose objectivity was based on the effective support to the data collection process during the development of the projects planned and executed by public entity BAAP N ° 12. The methodology used in the research project corresponded to the quantitative approach and its design was triangular. This last one helped the researchers to interrelate data, theories and methods related to the topic of business architecture, analysis of trends and causes that generate the problem situation.
