The research seeks to characterize the conceptions and practices on human development and values of the educational actors of cycle IV of the Antonio Garcia School, from the categories of; Affectivity, values and language. The results of the research indicate that educational actors conceive Human development and
values from the evolutionary development and is associated with affectivity, language and values. Regarding the first, students say that human development is "when you get a mustache" or when "you mature," "when you grow up." From the affectivity, is conceived from the categories of being and doing corresponding to the approaches of Max Neff and analyzed from Maturana and Cortina. In doing: the conflicting conceptions of affect are oriented to the encounter with the other with a look, physical contact, a word. The parents conceive as a den1onstration of affection "correcting or punishing so that they are better human beings and have values". From the being; (selfesteerr.. solidarity, respect, tolerance). As the teachers show, self-esteem and affect in the classroom are factors that affect learning. In the conceptions of values it is established that these are found in interpersonal relationships, they are taught and they seNe for life, they are the basis to relate to others. The most important values are; solidarity, tolerance, respect, dialogue. Finally. some pedagogical orientations are proposed to generate changes and reflections in this community.
