This qualitative action research study informs the contribution of the design and implementation of worksheets based on vocabulary learning strategies to improve reading comprehension in a group of seventh graders in a public school in Bogotá, Colombia. The current study is supported by three constructs: materials development. Vocabulary learning strategies, and reading comprehension. To accomplish the proposed objectives, five worksheets were designed and implemented considering the principles of materials development. In addition, the data were gathered by means of students' artifacts. Field notes and focus group interviews. These instruments conducted the researcher to both collect evidence methodically and answer the research question. The findings of this research study showed: firstly, that teacher-made materials triggered effective processes to improve the reading comprehension. Factors like building understanding and confidence, and the design of teaching resources focused on the development of the brain's potential contributed substantially to the improvement of students' reading comprehension. Secondly, it was evident the importance of considering L1 as a source to support vocabulary learning due to the fact that students relied on Spanish to figure out how the L2 worked; besides, their only previous linguistic knowledge is L their mother tongue. Thirdly, it was revealed the impact that certain factors and strategies like sharing and comparing knowledge with peers had on the students’ reading comprehension.

The actual society demands that educational institutions promote the fo1mation of values of students, given that there are gaps in parental styles for parenting styles in which parents do not know in some circumstances to address situations related to the behavior of their children. For this reason, promoting concepts such as ethics or the fundamental principles of the human being must be essential in the manuals of coexistence, this in order to promote values and create character as a priority in education. Within the strategies adopted by schools and colleges, the establishment of the character counts program has been promoted, which focuses on the development of six pillars of ethical behavior (reliability, respect, responsibility, justice, kindness and citizenship), in which through different strategies, it has had a positive impact on students from different countries, so its recognition in the academic environment is notorious. The Gimnasio Los Pinos, located in Bogotá, adopted the character counts program in 2015, for that reason to know about it and the strategies adopted, the research work was developed in the first section, having as a sample object a the director of section, the head of area and 1 O teachers. It was evident that the strategies adopted in relation to the program had a positive impact on school climate; however the school must allocated the necessary resources so that the program continues and the teachers have the tools for its execution.

Los parámetros de calidad educativa actuales propuestos por el Ministerio de Educación Nacional, inscriben a la evaluación como uno de sus factores asociados. Sin embargo, para que esta evaluación redunde positivamente al interior del aula, debe permitir la retroalimentación y los continuos procesos de mejora, es decir, tener un carácter formativo. Para cumplir con este objetivo el Ministerio de Educación en el año 2009, propuso transformar la evaluación y promoción estudiantil, a partir del Decreto reglamentario 1290, que en la actualidad fue derogado por el Decreto Único Reglamentario 1075 de 2015 el cual en el Título 3, capitulo, 3 sección 3, estipula que cada institución educativa de manera autónoma debe construir su Sistema Institucional de Evaluación (SIE). El Colegio La Felicidad I.E.D. al ser una institución nueva debía realizar su SIE y es por ello, que la presente investigación se propuso sistematizar la construcción y el seguimiento del Sistema Institucional de evaluación de este colegio en el año 2018, trabajando principalmente con el Autor Osear Jara respecto a la sistematización de experiencias y algunos autores como Lukas, Santiago y Mateo con quienes se abordaron los contenidos acerca de la evaluación de aprendizajes.

Esta investigación de tipo descriptivo-analítica analizó la incidencia que tienen los procesos de gestión académica generados a partir del alistamiento y la implementación de la Jornada Única en la Institución Educativa Oficial Técnica José Joaquín Casas, ubicada en el municipio de Chía, entidad territorial certificada, que inició esta implementación en octubre de 2016 y que en respuesta a la modificación del Decreto 501 de 2016, está, en el 2019, reajustando su currículo a la luz de la normatividad vigente en el tema. La investigación en curso se plantea como pregunta de investigación ¿cómo inciden los procesos de alistamiento e implementación de la Jornada Única en la gestión académica de la IEOT José Joaquín Casas? Para responder a este cuestionamiento su objetivo gira en torno a analizar la incidencia de los procesos de alistamiento e implementación de la jornada única en la gestión académica que desarrolla la IE. La investigación se sustenta en dos grandes categorías que sustentan el marco de Referencia, Gestión académica y Jornada Única. En donde se analizan a nivel teórico elementos propios de la gestión académica: prácticas pedagógicas, diseño curricular, gestión de aula y seguimiento académico. Así como los cuatro componentes contemplados en la normatividad de Jornada Única y su relación con el campo académico: Alimentación Escolar, recurso humano docente, infraestructura educativa y el componente pedagógico.

The research focuses on reading comprehension as a main process in the school environment, particularly, in 7th grade. This process is connected to information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and Learning and Knowledge Technology (LKT) resources. The aspects of reading comprehension explored were vocabulary and expressions linked to the text context, events and social situations described in the text and their potential link to the students' contexts, the author's intentionality and the students' stances to these events and situations. The TIC-TAC resources used were graphic organizers, the digital cartoon story, and the digital poster. Results show that the incorporation of TIC-TAC resources in this process fostered collaborative work, a deeper reading comprehension and the construing of students' stances to the events narrated and their connection to their own context.

The present investigation in education was carried out in order tu support the tittle of magister in education of the Extemado de Colombia University. It was an investigation carried out in the Sabio Mutis Departamental Educational Institutional of the Municipality of Cundinamarca. Thus starting from the institutional diagnosis was detected a need for improvement in the teaching-learning processes of Reading and writing, in the first grade of first, in which the entire project is developed. In this way, it is sought through theimplementation of a pedagogical strategy to improve the Reading and writing processes mediated by the description. This pedagogical strategy consisted of a test at the beginning and at the end of the intervention, in addition to five major activities and a constant observation of the the process. In this way, this document relates this research work that will demostrate the incidence of the pedagogical strategy in solving the problema.
