Within the Mariano Ospina Rodriguez Commercial Technical District Educational Institution, an institutional diagnosis has been sought, which allows analyzing the strengths and opportunities within the academic curriculum and classroom practices. The foregoing in order to generate an adequate restructuring of the
study plans, in order to promote the coherence of these with the PEI (Institutional Educational Project) and
the social and cultural context of the students in an external environment.
After the bibliographic review and the diagnosis, it was decided to develop the restructuring of the curriculum through a constructivist approach, which was in accordance with the student's own characteristics, socio-cultural factors and which also allowed for the student's prior knowledge to be spun. Specifically, within the area of natural sciences, the objective of transforming educational practices has been proposed, through the promotion of thought construction and scientific literacy, so that students not only theoretically, but also practically, can get to "do science"
