Concierto interpretado por Beatríz Martínez. Inició su formación musical en el Conservatorio de Música del Quindío y la continuó en la Escuela de la Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil de Colombia, institución a la cual ingresó en 1991. Fue tercer violonchelo de la orquesta en 1993. Posteriormente ingresó a la carrera de Estudios Musicales de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana donde estudió canto con la maestra María Olga Piñeros. En agosto del año pasado recibió allí su título de maestro en música-cantante. En este concierto interpretó obras de Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, Richard Strauss, Gabriel Fauré, Gian Carlo Menotti, Ígor Stravinski y Francis Poulenc.

Abstract: From an ‘Amerindian Perspectivist’ methodology, I propose to unveil the epistemology of shamanism towards a new resolution of Western artificiality. Departing from the counteranthropological approach traversing Eduardo Viveiros de Castro’s work in Cannibal Metaphysics, addressing the necessity for a constant decolonization of thought as todays ontological anarchism, the direction I will pursue entangles the necessity to put into question two foundational aspects of modern Western dialectics: the constitution of selfhood, and the inherent consequence of that process as objectification of otherness, including the mineral ecosystem, and by extension: the artificial. Through a subtle process of weaving theoretical references, I will create a set of conversations between shamanism, decoloniality, neurology, and automation, that questioning the imperative paradigm of the symbolical as extension of the anthropocentric meta-projection of the human project, locates the potentiality of ‘the return to earth by the modern subject’ as a movement (the return to earth) Indigenous communities have always been inhabiting through the opposite operation of Western dialectics: personification, and the potential landscape to come from the consequential ‘Indigenization of the Modern imperative’. To unpack Amerindian Perspectivism as methodological approach, the task consists in resolving as structural direction; the entanglement deployed from Viveiros de Castro to his own discipline: anthropology , to resolve a counter-anthropology; in the case of this investigation, directed towards the intuition of a question not yet answered, that question being: how the artificial could be resolved through and after Indigenous Perspectivism? For that matter, quoting the Brazilian Anthropologist, who’s thesis will be the fundamental matrix to pursue the constellation I will be knitting, I will concentrate in ‘the who of things’ to inhabit what the Yanomami shaman Davi Kopenawa calls ‘the far-away thinking’ in his book The falling sky, a bio-semiotical entanglement signaling as non dissociated rationalization, to direct as departing point the deformation of our European conceptual apparatus, towards a different resolution of the artificial, question involving a different resolution of the computational mega-structure, question for a possible self in automation from a counter-development artificiality, but also, a different resolution of the methodological approach towards the construction of a Western thesis. Basically, in the encounter with Amerindian myth as another form of anthropology, we will open the construction of the Western dialectical frame as myth, and far away from a grotesque simplification, we will merge into Amerindian perspectivism to bring from that space, the primordial matrix to question the construction of our Western epistemic methods, the construction of our disciplines, and in that extension, another resolution of the artificial. For that matter, as weekly dynamic, I will be meeting in Ancestral territory; todays Colombia, the traditional doctors: Luis Yunda from the NASA community, Eduard Gil Jimenez from the Yanakuna community, Misael Tumbo from the NASA community, Joaquin Viluche from the NASA community, Julio Caldón from the Kokonuko community, and Manuel Sisco from the NASA community, looking in those conversations with the shamans, to open the transitional state of an epistemology of relation, looking to envision a resolution towards a shamanic epistemology of Western artificiality, and from this matrix of relations; another artificiality to come.

Abstract: This research deals with an experimental methodology analyzing the possible financial results after five years of the creation and operation of a brewery in Mas Dels Frares, property of the enology faculty of the Rovira i Virgili University, with only one dependent variable, annual sales, which starts at 83% of the total production and increase a 5% biannual for the first four years of existence and an increase a 8% for the last year of the financial exercise. It is included an offer of 5 beers (India Pale Ale, Pale Ale, Grape Ale, Porter and Dubbel), according to the number of wines normally offered. At the time of carrying out the fiscal year, it was taken into account to include and calculate when the greater amount of elements that could affect the initial equity of the company was the main part of the fiscal year, it was necessary to consult different economic data to apply to the fiscal year. And investigate about the possibility of growing hops in the lands of Mas Dels Frares considering the ideal conditions for its growth, the possible investment and necessary dedication starting from the current state of the land of the farm. As a result of the investigation, it could appreciate that, even though the initial investment is considerably high, it recovers in 5 years and this money can be used for possible investments in favor of the faculty, adding that the financial year yields have very positive results With the advance of time, it is emphasized that taxes are a factor that reduces the utility of financial activity in a broad manner. It is also concluded that growing hops on the farm would require a considerable investment and hard work to improve the conditions of the land, having as main factors against the high temperatures and low rainfall, not to mention the double flowering. Resumen: Esta investigación aborda bajo una metodología experimental analizar los posibles resultados financiaros tras cinco años de la creación y funcionamiento de una bodega cervecera en la finca Mas Dels Frares, propiedad de la facultad de enología de la Universidad Rovira i Virgili teniendo como única variable dependiente el volumen de ventas anuales, el cual inicia en el 83% de la producción total y tiene un incremento del 5% bianual los cuatro primeros años de existencia y un incremento del 8% para el último año del ejercicio financiero. En el ejercicio ese incluyo una oferta de 5 cervezas (India Pale Ale, Pale Ale, Grape Ale, Porter y Dubbel), acorde con el número de vinos que normalmente oferta la bodega. Al momento de realizar el ejercicio económico se tomaron en cuenta incluir y calcular cuando fueron necesarios la mayor cantidad de elementos que podían afectar el patrimonio inicial de la empresa parte principal del ejercicio económico, se debió consultar diferentes datos económicos para aplicar al ejercicio, igualmente Se hizo un estudio preliminar re la posibilidad de cultivar lúpulo en los terrenos de la finca Mas Dels Frares tomando en cuenta las condiciones ideales para su crecimiento, la posible inversión y dedicación necesaria partiendo del estado actual de los terrenos de la finca. Como resultado de la investigación pudo apreciar que, aunque la inversión inicial es considerablemente alta, se recupera en 5 años y se da pie a utilizar este dinero para posibles inversiones en pro de la facultad, es de agregar que el ejercicio financiero arroja resultados muy positivos con el avanzar del tiempo, se destaca que los impuestos son un factor que reduce de amplia manera la utilidad de la actividad financiera. Igualmente se concluye que cultivar lúpulo en la finca requeriría de una inversión considerable y de un esfuerzo arduo para mejorar las condiciones del terreno, teniendo como principales factores en contra las altas temperaturas y la poca precipitación sin dejar de mencionar la doble floración.

Globalization has spread the English language to all the regions in the world, including the global south. Particularly in Colombia, the hegemony of English is evident in bilingual programs at the state and private level. Elite bilingual schools have been accomplices of this “English as a lingua franca” ideology, and they have constructed educational schemes that have students not only learn English, but also be assimilated into a whole new culture, values, and identity: the cosmopolitan identity. The hegemony of English has been attributed as one of the causes for this cosmopolitan identity to be strengthened and the national identity to be weakened. Therefore, this cosmopolitan identity, which is supposed to value all languages, cultures, identities, communities, and countries in the same way, is stratified: it devalues the Colombian students’ native language, culture, and country, and enhances their attachment to the culture of the global powers. Consequently, students prioritize the foreign over the local, and this inhibits the economic development of their native lands, contributing to the social reproduction of nations, cultures, ethnicities, communities, and, at the end, individuals. Thus, as these students are part of the country’s most valuable assets, there must be a new framing of teaching and learning foreign languages, and cultures, to promote first their love of native language, culture, and country. This will be the ideal cosmopolitan identity in Colombian students, one when they will understand that before being universal, they must be local. La globalización ha esparcido el idioma inglés a todos los países en el mundo, incluyendo los del sur global. Particularmente en Colombia, la hegemonía del idioma inglés es evidente en programas bilingües a nivel de estado y a nivel privado. Los colegios bilingües de élite han sido cómplices de esta ideología de “inglés como lengua global,” y han construido esquemas en los que los estudiantes no sólo aprenden inglés; también son asimilados a nueva cultura, nuevos valores y una nueva identidad: la identidad cosmopolita. La hegemonía del inglés ha sido atribuida como una de las causes del fortalecimiento de la identidad cosmopolita y el debilitamiento de la identidad nacional. Por esto, esta identidad cosmopolita, que se supone valora todos los idiomas, culturas, identidades, comunidades y países de la misma manera, esta estratificada: desvalora el idioma natal de los estudiantes colombianos, su cultura, y en consecuencia su país, y aumenta el apego a la cultura de los poderes globales. En consecuencia, los estudiantes priorizan lo extranjero sobre lo local, y esto inhibe el desarrollo económico de su país, lo que contribuye a la reproducción social de naciones, culturas, etnicidades, comunidades, y, al fin y al cabo, de individuos. Por eso, como estos estudiantes hacen parte de los activos más valiosos de un país, debe haber un nuevo marco teórico de cómo enseñar y aprender inglés, para primero valorar los idiomas locales, su cultura y su país. Aquí si se podrá decir que hemos llegado a la identidad cosmopolita ideal en los estudiantes colombianos, una donde ellos entenderán que antes de ser universales, hay que ser locales.

Abstract: QoL studies conceptualise urban well-being as a multidimensional process that is influenced by personal and environmental factors. A much less explored field in QoL has to do with the notion of capabilities and functionings as measurements to evaluate the level of quality of life that people experience in cities. By investigating the young adults category, this article develops a measurement of QoL based on the normative framework of the Capability Approach (CA) to capture urban domains that affect quality of life in Bogota. This study introduces a quantitative methodology to use secondary aggregated data to build a QoL measurement based on capabilities. A nonlinear categorical principal component analysis was used to explore the underlying factor structure of a calibration sample (n=6,998). Confirmatory Factor Analysis was conducted to validate identified factors, revealing a good fit (SRMR=0.033, CFI=0.910). The result is a Young Adult Capability Index (YACI) that empirically explores the use of capability achievements as a space for evaluating urban QoL in young adults. A multiple linear regression was calculated to predict YACI based on additional variables which are sensitive to inequality for young adults. Results show that capability scores are lower once young adults enter adulthood. Women arrive with better capabilities from childhood and adolescence than men, but rapidly undergo a marked process of decapitalisation of capabilities during their transition to adulthood, suggesting the need for more attention in the elaboration of public policies for this type of population.
