Descripción: This research raises a reflection on the effects on the life system of the Inga people of Villagarzón Putumayo based on ancestral knowledge systems, product of the intervention by the oil industry and the inadequate implementation of the fundamental right to Prior Consultation and Free Prior Consent. Informed. Consequently, the structural elements that sustain the link between the communities and their territories are exposed from the systems of traditional and spiritual knowledge; at the same time, it shows the way in which this ancestral, holistic vision has been affected by the incursion of oil projects in the indigenous territories. The objective of this exercise is to highlight the existing tensions between the vision of life of the Inga people and the development policy of the Colombian State and to propose safeguard mechanisms to the ancestral territory from the traditional and spiritual knowledge systems of the Inga people, allowing us to live in harmony and balance with nature.
