- The present educational action research was aimed at developing new strategies for the strengthening of communication skills in the language classroom because of the deficiencies that were evident around the textual production in third grade students of the IED El Carmen Sede San Francisco from the municipality of Guasca Cundinamarca. From this problem arose the idea of implementing the writing project Fernando Botero: in the language classroom a descriptive adventure, where art and language were integrated to generate a motivating space of knowledge about the artist's life and the production of Written descriptions of people from different communicative situations. The development of a writing project in the classroom, provided strategies to motivate students towards the constant construction of texts and a focused research to know the legacy of the artist Fernando Botero in order to contextualize and encourage collaborative work from a sequence of actions directed towards the construction of new knowledge and mainly of communicative skills in students.
