- The work of grade whose main objective is to strengthen numerical thinking and reasoning competence in sixth grade students of the I.E.D. Hortigal it was proposed as a route of action, the use of a didactic unit called "Discovering Relative Numbers" to improve learning processes in students, which have distinctive characteristics, through the realization of six didactic sequences, aligned from learning objectives concrete and executed in different work sessions, contemplate the usual moments of a teaching-learning session from the Postprimary methodology. The rescue of previous ideas, in order to establish the knowledge that students possess, allowed them to motivate them, adapt activities and initiate learning, where the explanation of the topic of the session is carried out punctually, in the knowledge application phase, promoted reflection and practice in di verse conditions proposed from the context and social interaction. The embedded formative evaluation was the ideal instrument to assess the scope of the proposed goals, through the construction of tools to identify progress in the concept of relative numbers, to achieve favorable results and to systematize the information obtained from the application of the intervention.
