- The research was oriented to deepen the subject by conducting an analysis with a fundamentally psychological and sociological approach to antioqueñidad - understood as a cultural product - in the cinema. This search was constituted in the fundamental objective of the investigation. The proposed approach took into account a meeting point between social representations as a category of analysis of social psychology, and the perceptions of the viewers in the projections of the selected films. lt was sought to transcend the city's capital to deepen the way of being of people in the department of Antioquia, which, as noted, have adopted more or less similar behavior throughout its history. The background, however, was the actual reality of the department, analyzed from social, cultural, political and economic categories present in the region, since the beginning of the 20th century, with a source of information constituted by the attendees of the projections, respondents and Participants in the interaction in discussion groups. Their knowledge and perceptions on the subject were analyzed and contrasted with the content of the most relevant films for the spectators based on the postulates of social psychology.
