- The intervention proposal in the classroom is made with 33 students of the second degree of the IED Santa Maria. A didactic sequence is designed, implemented and evaluated, which deals in the first instance with the requirements posed by the institutional pedagogical model. It also points from three stages (executor, iconic and symbolic) to the understanding of the algorithm of multiplication. The planned activities are organized in 7 sessions where emphasis is placed on activities that favor individual and group work, cross-cutting themes that relate learning from other areas to mathematical knowledge are taken up, great importance is given to the use of concrete material as a strategy didactic in the process of teaching mathematics.
