Descripción: Concierto interpretado por el laudista Hopkinson Smith. Smith nació en Nueva York en 1946. En su adolescencia ya tocaba la guitarra y a los 19 años inició sus estudios formales de música. Pronto le interesó vivamente en la música antigua y el laúd, instrumento cuya ejecución empezó a estudiar de manera autodidacta. Posteriormente ingresó a la Universidad de Harvard para hacer un postgrado en Musicología, y recibió su grado con honores en 1972. Esta fase de su formación le ha resultado de invaluable importancia en los procesos de investigación y análisis que han sido parte indispensables de todos los proyectos desarrollados por él desde entonces.
