Here lies Lalo : The collected poems of Abelardo Delgado
Conocido como el "poeta laureado de Aztlán" y llamado "el abuelo de la literatura chicana" en su obituario de 2004 en The New York Times, Delgado utilizó sus palabras para luchar por la justicia y la igualdad de oportunidades para las personas de ascendencia mexicana que vivían en los Estados Unidos. Tenía doce años cuando emigró del norte de México a El Paso, Texas, y su desarrollo como poeta y escritor coincidió con el movimiento de derechos civiles chicano, por lo que sus poemas reflejan tanto el sufrimiento de los oprimidos como un llamado a la acción.
