The syllabus is an important component of the curriculum and a fundamental tool for the teaching task, which must be consistent with the Institutional Educational Project (PEI) and be constantly reviewed and analyzed, in order to achieve its update, attending to the needs of the students and the local and
national context, in tum responding to regulations and national and intemational policies, within the framework of the relevance of quality in education, which is one of the pillars of educational quality, and must be taken into account when reviewing these important documents.
The present investigation gives an account of the study carried out around the analysis of the transition and first syllabus of the LE.O León XIII, located in Soacha, bearing in mind specific criteria of relevance, which meet the guidelines and quality policies of the Ministry ofNational Education, and they become important references for the training of students. The above with a view to providing analysis that allows reformulating and improving these valuable documents for academic management in the educational institution.
