Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the comic shop... For over three decades, Madballs and GPK have both been known as the "grossest of the gross", co-ruling counterculture with their pun-heavy names and subversive humor. This all-new limited series event features the first time these two delightfully crude forces have ever met! Your freaky favorites, the Madballs and Garbage Pail Kids, are at it again. But this time, the chaos can't be confined to a single neighborhood as we trace the entire history of Madballs-GPK feud - bursting (and oozing) out across the ages! In this issue: Arrrh, mateys! Weigh anchor for horrible hijinks on the high seas as the Madballs set sail for a pirate adventure with Skullface on their flag and...well, never mind what's on the poop deck. Plus: Italy in the 16th Century: The Sistine Chapel needs a paint job...and the GPK and Madballs both want the gig! There's only one way to choose: a no-holds-barred paint-off! Written by Sholly Fisch, each issue features three incredible covers: Legendary Garbage Pail Kids (and Mad!) artist Joe Simko, series artist Jason Crosby and a special Ken Haeser Vintage Fight Poster, created especially for this momentous meeting of the (depraved) minds!

Gnartoons
The long-awaited collection of James the Stanton's beloved Gnartoons comics is here! Drink a 40 with a skateboarding dog, light a cop car on fire with a herd of friendly forest critters, and eat a pizza brunch with a bunch of radical dinosaurs. Stanton's trademark trippy humor wriggles and shines its way through each lushly illustrated comic vignette.

Everything Sucks #1
Noah and Calla are high, hungry, and should probably go outside. Unfortunately, the outside sucks. You can't even get a burger without the whole place almost burning down! Michael Sweater combines 90s animation nostalgia, sitcom antics, and a seasoning of stoner comedy in this new series.

Fungirl #1
Fungirl is a hapless (hopeless) hot mess of a woman crashing through life, leaving chaos in her wake. Although her oblivious antics infuriate her roommate-slash-ex-girlfriend, terrify the teenage skaters she tries to impress, and threaten her every opportunity for employment, Fungirl remains charming, transgressive, and hilarious. Pich's cartoonish art is simple and quirky, with clean lines and bold colors. The art transforms potentially graphic scenes of sex and violence into adorably cute, almost sweet, vignettes. Pich renders Fungirl's particular messiness deliciously palatable, like an inappropriate wedding cake.

It's Your Funeral
Marnie Winters was going to turn her life around; get out of the house, make friends, no more "Miserable Old Marnie!" Everything was going to plan, but then, of course, she died. Now, Marnie's a ghost trapped on Earth, and the only one who can help her is the overenthusiastic, alien social worker, Xel, whose job is to help ghosts "close their file" and pass on. Are you ready for a sweetly nostalgic trip through Marnie's life, correcting mistakes and righting what once went wrong? Well sorry, this isn't that story! Xel has a much better idea to soothe Marnie's troubled spirit: an internship in the hopeless bureaucracy of the trans-dimensional Department of Spectral Affairs! This new do-gooder duo has their work cut out for them in a series of hilarious mishaps and misadventures throughout the space-time continuum (but mostly in and around the office) as Marnie finds pathways through her feelings of worthlessness by helping others. A paranormal fantasy about healing, learning to love yourself, and being OK with being not OK, It's Your Funeral is the cosmic office comedy you've been dying to read!

Limited Edition
Claire is a thirtysomething neonatal nurse who is becoming increasingly discouraged about her prospects of getting into a long-term relationship and starting a family. She thinks she may have finally met her man in Franck--if not a Prince Charming then at least a friendly and compatible person--but societal pressures and gender norms seem to rear their heads at every turn and Claire begins to wonder if it will ever be possible for her to be happy with another person on her own terms. Aude Picault's chronicle of everyday romance is full of wit and sympathy but it is also backed up by a bibliography of feminist essays and studies of gender relations, offering a valuable and complicated case study of the challenges facing modern women. "Limited Edition is a beautiful, visually delightful, funny - yet serious - take on the sort of pressures faced by the average contemporary Western woman. As such, while its subject matter might traditionally attract more female readers than male, I would hope that it can be enjoyed and appreciated by both sexes, and help Picault to gain the wider English-speaking readership she so richly deserves."
