All Tomorrow's Parties: The Velvet Underground Story
An examination of some of New York rock 'n' roll's most iconic figures--The Velvet Underground & Andy Warhol--and the relationship that distorted their lives and changed pop culture. 1 VOLUME RELEASED - INDEPENDENT STORIES. Born from the iconic NY art and music scene of the late '60s and the brilliant, untamed minds of its founding members Lou Reed and John Cale, The Velvet Underground are now considered rock 'n' roll royalty...but that wasn't always so. From surviving off oatmeal and donating blood for rent money, to the fame of being the de facto house band of Andy Warhol's Factory and the objects of the socialite's fleeting affection, to the unraveling of Cale and Reed's creative partnership in a storm of jealousy and paranoia, the Velvets' story is as bold, challenging, and fascinating as their music. Explore the story behind the group NYT called arguably the most influential American rock band of our time, through good times and bad, as captured by Eisner-nominated Koren Shadmi.

The Story of the Velvet Underground
The Beach Boys and the Beatles are filling up the airwaves, but halfway between California and Liverpool, another band is putting together a sound that will change rock 'n' roll forever. Andy Warhol discovers the Velvet Underground in a little tourist bar in New York, and he soon becomes the producer for this group whose songs aren't so much about girls and hot rods but shooting up, alternative lifestyles, and the melancholy after the party. It's the late sixties, but not quite everything is flower power. The radio wants nothing to do with the Velvets, but the cool kids know who they are, and the enormous influence of this short-lived band has yet to abate.

Guardian of Fukushima
It was March 11, 2011 when a massive earthquake triggered a devastating tsunami, which, in turn, destroyed the core three reactors of the Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan. This tragedy cost almost 20,000 lives and devastated countless more, including Naoto Matsumura, a farmer evacuated from the deadly radiation zone. Unwilling to abandon his beloved animals, Naoto chooses to return home to his farm -- and to fight for the beauty of life. This important graphic novel from France alludes to Japanese legends as an ode to Mother Nature, and human resilience.
