La publicación "Bogotá fílmica: ensayos sobre cine y patrimonio" es el fruto del trabajo conjunto entre el Instituto Distrital de Patrimonio Cultural (IDPC) y el Instituto Distrital de las Artes (Idartes), ambos adscritos a la Secretaría de Cultura, Recreación y Deporte de la Alcaldía Mayor de Bogotá. Surgida de la convocatoria de estímulos "Bogotá fílmica: Cine y patrimonio cultural de Bogotá" en 2011, esta obra recoge cuatro ensayos críticos, así como otros textos que exploran temas como el espacio, la historia, la memoria, el urbanismo, la arquitectura, los imaginarios, las salas, los cine clubes y la crítica. Todos estos escritos tienen como punto de partida las producciones cinematográficas realizadas en la capital, abarcando formatos que van desde 8, 9 y ½, 16 y 35 mm, tanto en corto como en largometraje, a lo largo del periodo 1915-2011.
