Vista de la Plaza de Egipto (Antigua plaza Maza) y de la fachada principal de la Iglesia del mismo nombre. Delante de las escaleras se aprecia el monumento al general Hermógenes Maza Loboguerrero, busto en bronce, de autor anónimo, inaugurado en 1912. La Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Egipto se encuentra ubicada en la Plazoleta de Egipto, en el barrio Egipto, adscrito a la localidad de La Candelaria. Fue construida entre 1556 y 1657, por Agustín Rodríguez Zamora. La construcción y aspecto actual, corresponde a la obra de ampliación y modificación del templo original, que estuvo a cargo de Ricardo Acevedo Bernal, en 1916. Fue restaurada en 1989.
