Querida yo: tenemos que hablar, para trabajar nuestra salud mental y mejorar nuestra calidad de vida y relación con nosotras mismas. Antes, cuando escuchaba hablar sobre la importancia de «conocerse a una misma», no lo entendía. Cuando llevas treinta años viviendo contigo, ¿se puede saber qué es lo que te falta por conocer? ¿De verdad hay algo que puede pillarte por sorpresa? En nuestro día a día, tenemos miles de sentimientos, personas, heridas, situaciones que nos generan malestar. Identificarlas y saber distinguir las que podemos cambiar de las que no es muy importante para dejar de hacernos las preguntas de siempre ¿Por qué me noto tan sensible? ¿Por qué siempre estoy a la defensiva? ¿Por qué siento ansiedad? ¿Qué me pasa? Por eso, querida amiga, tenemos que hablar. Vamos a parar un momento para conocernos, corregirnos, aceptarnos, perdonarnos. Y una parte muy importante: para mandar a la mierda lo que sea necesario. A ver si así podemos empezar a querernos tanto como nos merecemos, que ya toca.

Desde estos tempranos años del siglo XXI miramos hacia atrás la literatura y en particular la narrativa que escriben las mujeres en Colombia. ¿Por qué senderos se han movido para llegar a esa rica y valiosa producción novelística que tenemos hoy? ¿Por cuáles silencios, invisibilizaciones y reconocimientos han pasado hasta llegar a configurar hoy un panorama tan variado? Recorreremos en este texto esos caminos. El ejercicio de la escritura por parte de las mujeres se inició muy tempranamente en el país: en los claustros coloniales, en el límite entre los siglos XVII y XVIII, Josefa del Castillo y otras mujeres, especialmente religiosas, plasman en el papel sus búsquedas, sus sentimientos, sus angustias. En medio de un omnipresente paradigma patriarcal y al parecer por responder, precisamente, a la exigencia de "un jerarca de la Iglesia" la monja de Tunja deja oír su voz, legándonos su testimonio: Padre mío, hoy, día de la Natividad de Nuestra Señora, empiezo en su nombre a hacer lo que Vuestra Paternidad me manda y a pensar y considerar delante del Señor todos los años de mi vida en amargura de mi alma, pues todos los hallo gastados mal, y así me alegro de hacer memoria de ellos, para confundirme en la divina presencia... Gran parte de la producción audiovisual de Luis Ospina se constituye como un material de referencia para la historia de la ciudad de Cali, así él no se haya propuesto escribir "la historia". Varias de sus películas o videos, en la medida que registran o caracterizan personajes o hechos caleños, ya sea en la ficción o en el documental, han terminado con el tiempo constituyéndose en referencias importantes, en verdaderos testimonios de la cultura local y regional. Aunque ese testimonio sea sobre un aspecto, un proceso, un imaginario, o una parte desaparecida de la ciudad. En Pura Sangre, por ejemplo, hay una reconstrucción de la tradición oral, de la memoria popular, acudiendo a hechos como el crimen del 10-15, o la leyenda que explicaba el origen del "monstruo de los mangones". En ese caso su versión de los hechos trajo consecuencias más allá de la pantalla, detonando reacciones de personas o instituciones interesadas en negar o esconder, en los años ochentas, lo que la tradición oral sostenía acerca de unos hechos acaecidos en los años sesentas. Compleja, polémica, incómoda, multiforme, polivalente, son apenas algunos de los adjetivos que los críticos y analistas han empleado tratando de descifrar la obra de Luis Ospina. En este volumen se ofrece una selección de lo más destacado que se ha dicho sobre él y su obra.
