As she investigates further, Ella encounters people who slowly guide her closer to the truth, which causes alternate forces to try and stop her pursuit. With help, Ella overcomes all odds, and in the process discovers she must fulfill her destiny and decide the fate of humanity, Earth...and the universe.

And leaving the village would mean leaving Anja, the only person who's always been there for him. Kriss must choose between his destiny and Anja, who needs his friendship more than ever. But his growing power, and the fiery anger that comes with it, threatens to make the choice for him, and burn everything he holds dear.

"Origin stories" detailing the beginnings of Baylis' love for all things Alan Moore, drawn by Tony Wolf (a fine autobio storyteller in his own right) and the creative impetus behind him starting his own comic series (hint --- it involves the aforementioned Mr. Pekar and a film premier and is drawn, appropriately enough, by AMERICAN SPLENDOR alums Joe Zabel and Gary Dumm); a section titled "film school" featuring another Sundance premier yarn (for a VERY different kind of film) with art by personal long-time favorite Bernie Mireault, a "family zombie" (it'll make sense when you read it) short drawn by Whit Taylor, an extended reminiscence on Baylis' NYU pal Eli Roth with Gary Dumm doing the art solo, a tale of a well-known Central Park eccentric drawn by Brian Bram, an interesting take on movie viewing by way of Lasik eye surgery illustrated by Maria and Peter Hoey, and an Ennio Morricone appreciation with art by Rick Parke.

After living her whole life on a small space station orbiting the planet, the cultural norms and rules of her Californian parents are just history to her. In between work shifts at the station air farm, Rigo explores her own desires, developing openly polyamorous relationships with her friends and crewmates. When she starts to feel one of those relationships change, however, Rigo must balance her new feelings with the stability of her other relationships, as well as the hard-earned camaraderie of a small crew floating in the vastness of space. But, as the ship motto goes, "Honesty keeps us alive."
