Josef Amón-Mitrani, al comienzo de su libro, nos dice que él es un escritor minimalista, e inmediatamente nos presenta unos poemas largos. Entonces uno se pregunta: ¿de qué se trata esto? Y la verdad es que para mí no hay una respuesta. Cuando se entra al cubículo del poeta Amón-Mitrani, a su oficina, se encuentran una serie de fotos de sus dioses tutelares: postales de William Shakespeare, de Virginia Woolf, de Juan Rulfo, de Bob Dylan, de Emily Dickinson, de Paul Verlaine, de Borges, de Whitman Y la pregunta es si hay alguna relación entre todas esas lecturas y sus versos. En una charla con Amón, él puede recitar de una sola sentada los poemas de Lezama Lima o algún pasaje del Talmud en hebreo, cosas que son lo que se piensa opuesto a este libro. Poesía irónica, amable, divertida, con toques de lo que algunos podrían considerar no apropiado para una escritura que llamaríamos "poética". Estos versos son una ruptura con muchos de esos parámetros que están ya establecidos. Pero sabemos que hay poemas que nos invitan a buscar otras fronteras, otras zonas, otros momentos el poeta Amón-Mitrani logra hacernos esa invitación.
